Terms of Service
Last updated: June 28, 2026
These are the rules for using our website and our members app. We wrote them in plain English on purpose. If something here isn't clear, email us at hello@chop-fitness.com and we'll explain it like a human.
By using our site or app, you're agreeing to these terms. If you don't agree with them, that's okay, but you shouldn't use the site or app.
1. Who we are
The short version: we're Chop Fitness, a real gym in Hamilton, New Jersey.
"Chop Fitness," "we," "us," and "our" mean Chop Fitness Group, a business located at 1710 Kuser Rd, Suite B, Hamilton, NJ 08690. "You" means you, the person using our website or our members app.
Our website is where you learn about us and build a plan. Our members app is where the coaching relationship lives once you're training with us. These terms cover both.
2. Using our site and app
The short version: use it for what it's for, and don't break it.
You can use our site and app to learn about training with us, build a plan, sign up, and once you're a member, work with your coach. In return, we ask a few simple things:
- Be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian handle your account.
- Give us real information when you sign up.
- Keep your login to yourself. What happens under your account is your responsibility.
- Don't try to break, hack, copy, scrape, or overload the site or app.
- Don't post anything illegal, abusive, or that isn't yours to post.
If you do any of that, we can suspend or close your access. We'd rather not, so don't make us.
3. Accounts and access
The short version: having access and paying us are two separate things, and we run it that way on purpose.
When you become a member, we give you access to the app. Here's something most gyms don't tell you straight: with us, access and payment are separate. We grant your access. Payment, whether that's a card on file, cash, or whatever we work out, is how you keep it, but it's not the thing that flips the switch. A real person on our side decides who's in.
That means we can give you access before a payment clears, and it means we can pause access if a payment is overdue. We'll always handle it like people, not like a billing robot.
If you stop being a member, your account doesn't get wiped. Your history, your coaching messages, your progress, your photos, all of it freezes in place and waits for you. We call it the frozen vault. Cancel anytime and it's still here when you're back. More on that in your Membership Agreement.
4. The stuff we make is ours. The stuff you make is yours.
The short version: our brand and content belong to us. What you post belongs to you, but you let us use it to run the service.
Everything we create stays ours: the Chop Fitness name and logo, Chop the dog, our workout videos, our meal plans, our written content, and the look and feel of the site and app. You can use it as a member, but you can't copy it, resell it, or pass it off as your own.
Everything you create stays yours: your coaching messages, your form-check videos, your progress photos, your notes. You own all of it. By posting it in the app, you give us permission to store it and show it back to you and your coach so the service actually works. We don't claim ownership of your stuff, and we don't sell it.
If you choose to opt in to the Pack feed and share a win, you're giving us permission to show that win to other members. That's your call, and it's off by default. We cover this fully in our Privacy Policy.
5. Our content isn't medical advice
The short version: we coach, we don't diagnose. Talk to a doctor before you start.
Our workouts, meal plans, and coaching are built to help you train and get results. They are general fitness guidance, not medical advice, and they don't replace a doctor, a physical therapist, or a registered dietitian.
We can train around injuries and do rehab-aware work, and we're good at it. But rehab-aware coaching is not licensed physical therapy, and we'll tell you straight when something is outside what we should handle. Before you start any program with us, check with your doctor, especially if you have an injury, a health condition, or you've been away from training for a while. If something hurts in a way that isn't normal training effort, stop and get it looked at.
You train at your own risk. Your full Membership Agreement spells this out in detail before you ever sign it.
6. Payments and the tools behind them
The short version: we use trusted services to run payments and store data, and we never see your card number.
When we take card payments, we use Stripe to process them. Your full card details go to Stripe, not to us, so we never see or store your card number. Stripe has its own terms and privacy practices, and your payment is handled under those.
We use Supabase to store accounts, content, and the data that makes the app work. Both of these are standard, widely used services. The specifics of your plan, price, billing, and cancellation live in your Membership Agreement, not here.
7. When things break
The short version: we work hard to keep this running, but we can't promise it's perfect, and we're not on the hook for everything.
We do our best to keep the site and app working, accurate, and available. We can't promise they'll always be online, error-free, or exactly what you hoped. Sometimes things go down, sometimes we have to make changes, and sometimes a feature changes or goes away.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Chop Fitness isn't responsible for indirect, incidental, or unexpected losses that come from using (or not being able to use) the site or app, like lost data, lost time, or a missed workout. If we ever are found responsible for something, our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the previous three months.
None of this is meant to take away rights you have under New Jersey law that can't be waived. Where the law gives you a protection we can't sign away, that protection wins.
8. Links and other people's stuff
The short version: we sometimes link out, and we're not responsible for what's on the other end.
We might link to other sites or embed things like videos hosted elsewhere. We don't control those, and we're not responsible for their content or their practices. If you click out, you're playing by their rules, not ours.
9. We can update these terms
The short version: if we change the rules, we'll post the new version and date it.
We can update these terms as the business grows. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date at the top and post the new version here. If a change is a big deal, we'll do our best to give you a heads up. If you keep using the site or app after we post changes, that means you're okay with them.
10. Ending things
The short version: either of us can walk away, and your history stays preserved either way.
You can stop using the site or app anytime. We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we have to. If your access ends, the parts of these terms that should outlive it (like ownership, disclaimers, and the legal sections) stay in effect. And as always, your history freezes rather than disappears.
11. The legal basics
The short version: New Jersey law applies, and disputes are handled in Mercer County.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that can't be worked out directly will be handled by the state or federal courts located in Mercer County, New Jersey, and you agree that's a fair place to handle it.
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. If we don't enforce a rule right away, that doesn't mean we've given it up.
12. Talk to us
The short version: questions go to a real person.

These terms are written to be clear, not to replace legal advice. Chop Fitness Group should have a New Jersey attorney review this before publishing.
